Converting quicktime to avi format

I have a bunch of quicktime movie files that I need to convert into avi format.

Can anyone reccomend some good free software to do this?

Thanks in advance.

A) Bumping your own thread makes perfect sense when you have a question you want answered, and aint nobody answering it.

B) Yes, I did try google. I was then offered about 6 million choices of freeware. Since I dont want to download a dozen crappy programs only to find out that they suck or install spyware on my computer, I thought it might make sense to ask here for a reccomendation, in the hopes that someone might be able to suggest something good. Why is that so confusing?

dSl-DuDe is on a distinguished road
easiest is to use Quicktime Player Pro, you can export to AVI with it

If you don't want to buy it, search for it with your favorite p2p software, DC++ is my program of choice
