I got it sent to me as an MSN message. clicked on the link, it asked me if I wanted to run a program. I closed it and found out it's a virus.

if i didn't run/open it, am I safe?.. probably..

i had this twice today. same as above. clicked... download? fuck no.

hmm u should be safe as long as u didnt open the file. i'm gonna do a virus scan in the morning just to make sure tho

It downloaded but didn't execute automatically, i just found it in finder and threw it in the trash.. no probs!

uhh, but its true, a windows virus won't work on a mac.

You should be fine if you didn't download the file. Way back when I was on my old comp, I clicked on one of those link coz a friend sent it to me, but I never downloaded the file. My comp was fine.

Mind you, that was probably a different virus, so I can't be too sure either. Best to do a virus scan.

You shouldn't have a problem if you didn't download the program...I have had it sent to me a couple times but my computer doesn't even allow me to get to the downloading of the file...So that is defenitely a good thing...I found it kinda suspicious when someone else was trying to apparently send pictures of myself:soak:

i work for msn tech support. i need to send that link to some of my co-workers :/ i mean we work for msn! and not just the regular level 1 phone agents, we're an upper level, and they still got the virus! i mean we should be able to spot a messenger virus when we see it. blargh!
