I'm attending Langara currently.
This term my courses are: Asian Canadian Literature (which is a really wicked course which looks at writings by Japanese and Chinese canadian writers) Survey of English Lit (which is something you have to take if you're planning on majoring in english, it is boring and we have to study stuff like Beowulf and Paradise lost) and The Modern History of Asia (which examines Asia from 1600 on, subjects of colonialism, gaining independence, cultural struggles, wars, etc.) lather, rinse, repeat :D |

Somehow I suckered myself into taking all-very-demanding courses this semester:
Communications 260 ->"Empiral Statistical Research Methods in Communication" (*extremely* time consuming; taking it only because it is a prerequisite) Communications 230 (by distance education) -> "Introduction to Communication Media" (echoes exactly what I covered in Cmns 130, which is not surprising because it is conducted by the same prof: a right-wing feminist with a poli sci major. woohaw) Communications 220 -> "Understanding Television" (would be a very interesting course if the prof knew how to lecture and came to class slightly, if at all, organized) Criminology 220 -> "Social Science Research Methods in Criminology" (another prerequisite I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole if I didn't need to) Of course, none of these courses would be that bad if SFU didn't feel so much like a prison. *grumble* ** stef |
