haha that cia website is great i've been using it quite a bit for research papers

and thats really sad about the lights part... it really is true the people there have it bad. Even though the american media loves to eat up the fact that north korea is communist and only talk about the bad, it really is true that place is messed up... you don't have to go there to know.

i think all you have to do is read a few books about a Communism in Russia or China (as i have), especially the Cultural Revolution, to get an idea of the state of fear and bondage the people live in.

it's not just that the country is a one-man dictatorship, but a very twisted psychological experiment like the show the Survivor where people will often turn on eachother (political purgings) just to stay safe themselves.

It's a self re-inforcing mechanism, where articifial scarcity is used to keep people desperate enough so that they don't think politically. Stalin would make people wait 5 hours in a bread line. You don't bite the hand that feeds.

Communism is one of the worst evils in the world and has killed more people than any war. 20 million in Russia, and 50 million in China. I'm not sure if North Korea is any worse or any better than those eras, but when the truth comes out you can add to the history of godless tryannies that have been pet projects for the coming NWO

hahaha this is somewhat true, but i personally avoid going too far into such an extreme view that the atrocities were planned out by evil conspiracies. I just see it as the flaw of human nature in such a level of leadership. communism will not work due to the way the world is, especially for a country like north korea which has extremely few resources for a somewhat large population. The initial phase of establishing a communist state begins with good intentions for equality. but the concentrated power of communism to a very few people opposed to a capitalist system which has a large wealthy class having power (and anyone has the opportunity to get there. harder for some but at least it's possible) generates alot of problems. With power and time comes the inevitability of corruption IMO. Mao for one had serious issues with power... he was too stubborn when it came to the fragile state of the economy and made every effort to keep any capitalist economic principle out of china. Kinda resembles the kim family in north korea. communist authority (which already breaks a rule of the communist manifesto) seems to be doomed into an authoritarianism.... even totalitarianism. it's just human nature. It would be nice if every leader was a God.

actually the goal was complete and utter dehumanization. Tyranny is as old as time.

How do concepts like the abolishment of spirituality, private property, the individual, etc, things that are totally antithetical to human nature and dignity suddenly take hold organically? The answer is it doesn't. Communism didn't just spring from the brow of Marx and become en vogue with all the university students.

It had massive financial backing and has nothing to do with being against the establishment. If anything, it is the ultimate establishment.
