Backpacks at a rave party?

Okay, lets just get this out of the way right now: no, I don't plan to smuggle drugs in my backpack. That would be pretty stupid.

Anyways, on to my question. How big of a pain in the ass would it be to get a backpack through security? Would they need to make a big production of taking all of my clothes and such out and going through every little thing with a fine-toothed comb? If it's going to cause a big scene right at the doors I'd just as soon leave it in the car or whatever. Also, will they take my backpack at coatcheck? And will they allow me to re-check it later on, if I decided to change my shirt or something halfway through?

I'd also like to know if anyone has ever had any problems with things going missing out of their backpack while it was checked. Any info would be much appreciated.

It's not that I NEED it, but I just thought it would be nice to have a dry shirt or something to change into when I get tired and decide I'm done with strenuous activity for the night. It sucks hanging around in the smoke pit with a sweaty shirt on. :(

I bring a backpack @ pretty much every party I go to.

I dont find it a pain @ all.

Just when they're going through your bag help them. like if you have a wallet/makeup bag/clothes/ect.. take it out and open it for them.. to show you have nothing. They appareciate it, also,makes thier job a lot easier. Also explain why you have what in there.. like I always have have socks. like 3 pairs in my bag @ all time. Just cuase I like to always have clean socks and theres nothing more refreshing then changin you socks after a rave. IMO.

I always have a backpack with me at raves........just helps to keep things together like extra sweatshirts/water/etc... They will search it but they generally don't have a problem with it......not sure about the coat check part of your question though......I always keep mine near me or my group

it shouldnt be too much hassle. everyone does it. if you want my advice, put your drugs in the clean pair of socks. they wont wanna rifle through your socks, clean or dirty.

i dont bring a backpack, but i do bring a purse/bag. one party i went to they threw away my lip gloss (i guess they thought it was candy or something :() but other then that ive never had a problem

I always bring a pack. Fuck, you're going to be dancing on drugs for eight hours at least. Might as well bring some supplies with you, right? Some snacks, some water or juice, 5-htp, fuzzy and blinky things to entertain the e-tards, etc.

I have a little small one that's pretty stealth too. Nine times out of ten, when I walk into a club, the bouncers won't notice it unless I start to take it off. Leave it on and huttah, bag's in.

Honestly, most of the terms of raver fashion I found are dictated by function rather than form. Glowsticks, so you can rifle through your bag in the dark. Blinking lights and bright colours, because it's way easier to find your friend in a crowd if they have a blinking red collar on. Pacifiers because, hey, sometimes gum just doesn't cut it if you're really grinding harsh. Cargo pants because you can put things in it (Water bottles, candies, munchies, etc.).

Backpacks are super useful I find. Especially at outdoor parties.

whether they just scan through it or take every last thing out depends on the security guard like always. just like sometimes when u get padded down some security guards go all nuts and search u like crazy and some just do a 2sec job and let u go. its all the luck of the draw. although i never bring backpacks im always happy to see atleast 1 or 2 of my friends have 1 so i can put my jacket and shti in their bag lol. i hate carrying it or leaving it on the floor in a pile

One thing I was always known for is having a backpack, usually with munchables and hidden compartments for everyone's illicit substances. Normally, I used it to store my backup tunes when all the anthem trance/NRG got fucking irritating, and would take them out to the smoke pit (though I don't smoke), usually sharing the tunes in headphones with everyone else.

Really, if you can't bring a backpack into a rave, it isn't a real rave.

nothin but a hassle...crotch the drugs....being a girl sucks when it comes to bringing a backpack...f around...honestly..evry time they totally check it they have to...but as a girl who brings clean undies, bra,socks,make-up, maybe even that time of the month stuff it is sooo embarrasing!!!! better to take small amount of stuff and leave what ever in the car..they wont be happy about double checking it..but most likely will..(one time) or theyll charge you again.
and no i have never had stuff go missing in caot check....except when i went to bar and coat checked my backpack and had it stolen(bar tho)
