ipods have no radio.
simple comparison,
any major brand flash mp3 player with 1 GB of memory = ~$160 to ~$200,
ipod mini 4GB = $250 <- well worth the money

my ipod is the best investment i ever made

it's my favourite thing that i never ever leave the house without..

i have 15 gb or whatever and i 650 songs on my ipod so far and it's not even a quarter way full... plus i can store pictures (although mine you cant view them) files and yeah.. it's basically like a portable hard drive.

. it also has games you can play on it =o)

and comes with a lot of excessories..

the i-trip so you can play your music over a radio station
or you can get that cord.. (i'm having a brain fart and can't rememebr what it's called...the adapter or something) and plug it into your stereo so can listen to it through your aux..

i don't know.. i love it

If somebody is considering buying an ipod I think they can afford the $50 for an Itrip. Then you have all your music, and the radio. Perfect if you ask me.

I just don't like how the ITRIP adds the extra bulk. I'd like to have it all self-contained and smooth.

There's a rumour Apple will be coming out with new iPod models and other stuff in June, maybe a FM tuner will be added.

My friend just got a Creative Nuvo flash ram player because it was really lightweight (jogger) and it had the FM tuner. I tried it for a few days and it's OK but I think its controls are a little clunky, and the volume doesn't go very high.

i love my ipod. it was well worth the money. i'm good with my electronics, but this thing has been through a lot with me and is way better condition than anything else would be. (like the time that it met icy cement on robson and my ass in a surprise meeting!)

my itrip works better than in most cars. most people I know took their itrip back because it was shit. I don't know why i'm so lucky.

However..the monster fm transmitter is better because it charges as well as plays on you stereo. I lucked out in getting a car charger for $5.99 on ebay which works well so far. So i'm ahead of the game.

i dont like the radio .. which is why i bought an ipod! I love all 400 song i have on it rite now. I listen to the thing about 3 hours each day while travelling back and forth to work so this thing is definately well worth the investment!!

My boyfriend has a Muvo, and I have to agree about the controls...I really don't like them. I told him to go with a Shuffle for the money he spent on a 256mb Muvo ($110 on my work discount, and a Shuffle is $129), but I have to agree with his logic about needing a screen...When you listen to electronic music, a screen is kinda necessary...

I don't know why people would want the radio when they have an mp3 player. It defeats the whole purpose, I think.

I love my mini. I don't leave home without it. And it makes everything more fun, esp. the gym.
