transfer your account to TD bank and get a I pod shuffle.

saw this promo today. Thinking of switching to TD. anyone w/ them? how much do you pay a month for your account? i dont pay anything at coast capital and get unlimited atm transactions etc.

An Ipod shuffle would be pretty sweet right now.

i think i pay like 20 bucks a month or something and u definately DONT get unlimited atm, more like 20-30 transactions. But i like how they are open late, and there are a million of their branches everywhere. I wish i didn't switch over until now dammit! It has to be a chequeing account your switching over as well.

i pay 6.95 for my td account
i dont think that included a lot of transactions but since i use my credit cards for everything i really need a few transactions each month
i like that most branchs are open until 9 o clock and their online banking is easy to navagate
if i was you i'd make the switch

yeah when I was at the bank the other day I saw that.
td is awesome, havent had ANY problems with them in 2 years.
mateo i pay $12.95 a month for unlimited debit transactions and unlimted atm transactions (so they claim more like 15-20)
plus they are open later, mon-fri 8am-8pm and sat 9am-3pm.

I'm with coast capital. I have an overdraft, and I pay nothing. No fees at all. But I would like an ipod shuffle...

so 12.95 x 12months = 155.40 which i'd have to pay because i use my interac for every little purchase. or stay with pc who has ZERO FEES.

totally not worth the hassle. besides there's no way td's interest rate can compare to a bank that has no branches.

Im just saying for $12.95 a month its really not that bad, and im sure Mateo wont have a problem with that, since he is such a gangster, bling bling lol.

whoa whoa, back up the trolley. i too am very happy with td, the late hours, the low fees, the many branches all over the place, but i still would like to cash in on this free ipod shuffle thing. hmm.. maybe ill get my mom to make an account at td so i can get this promo, unless im allowed to withdraw all my money, close my account, and then come right back

Works well for spending money, but I wouldn't do any long-term holding there.

Or TD for that matter.

I use Island Savings for my long-term, and honestly, I think I'm going to keep it there even when I move to Van. It's not like I need much access to it.

PC is a Piggy Bank, nothing more.

I have the "el cheapo" account at TD, costs nothing if you keep a thousand bucks balance. And only allowed 10 transactions per month, after that I pay about 50 cents each. Usually my account is cost-free.

I want that iPod! :( Must threaten to move my account away.

eh...changing bank accounts can be a major pain in the ass.

When you start somewhere new, they might do things like put holds on your cheques or give you some ridicilous withdrawal limit..I wouldn't want to have to deal w/ that.

If you're a current TD customer I'm sure that if you go in and bitch and threaten to switch banks they'll give you the IPod.

As for those of you who are with Coast Capital and thinking of switching...ARE YOU NUTS?!? IMO they're by faaaaar the best out there. My entire extended family is with Coast Capital and has been for years and they treat us EXTREMELY well. I have no loan history, barely a credit history (only one year) and yet I was able to get PRIME on my loan - that's unheard of anywhere but a credit union. I've been with TD, BMO and Royal and I would NEVER go back to any of them.

wow wtf $12.95/month isn't that bad? what the hell do u get with ur account each month. I pay $3.96/month for my td account unless i have over $1000 during the enitre month and my PC account is $0 with unlimited atm transactions and 2.something % interest for savings account compared to most banks 0. whatever
