Another one is Spybot Search & Destroy - I previously used this as well as Ad-Aware every 2 weeks or so.

Now I just use Microsoft Anti-Spyware.

On a side issue, if you use Outlook Express email make sure in Tools/Options/Security you check the box to block images and other content in HTML mail - otherwise spammers can confirm you have a live email address when they periodically send out spams to random email adresses.

This really works. Once I had managed to get my email spams down pretty low, then I accidentally turned on the images when I was looking at a spam email, this causes Outlook to access the spammers server to get the images and they can figure out your email address that way, and whammo! a few hours later they updated their sucker list and I started getting huge loads of spam again.
