that's weeeeeeak. speaking of which, we were driving in London uk, trying to avoid the downtown core fee (there's an area of DT that you have to pay to drive in.) I was navigating and not once did I see a sign saying 'you are entering' or what have you.. and apparently we slipped in it for a block and got dinged. found out about this AFTER comin back to canada and the fine racking up.. 100 pounds! WTF 230'ish dollars.. for making a slightly wrong turn.

yeah i know. bastards. i mean it's one thing if they made you pay the fee for making the mistake.. but having it setup so you can rack up 100 pound fine because of it? give me a break.

apparently the people are furious about the fines cause people are making mistakes left and right. it might get all changed (possibly completely taken out)

I can't believe you were trying to drive in London at all!

It's mad!

And the street system is _so_ unfriendly to drive through!

You just PARK the car, and take the underground wherever you wanna go!

But, a hundred quid really _is_ over the top!!!

I mean, for a daily rate?!

rented a car in newcastle, drove down to london to stay at a friend's .. the only driving we did in london was that ONE time.

undergrounded the rest of the trip.
