I went to mine last year. My school was so big (500 person graduating class for my year) that of the 100 or so people that showed up, I knew about 10 of them, sort of remembered another 10 and really had no idea who the rest were.

I bolted after 2 hours cause the few people i still keep in touch with who went left and it was in burnaby...

My reunion will most likely be exactly the same. Class was 700+, and I actually MET people at our grad.

hahaha i still got like 6 years to wait for my 10 year reunion but i can see it as the biggest gong show ever.

i went to an alumni dinner at a golf club a few weeks ago though. that was a trip. all these rich old people and some big politicians running at the time. so when my 10 year comes along i better be fuckin loaded so i don't feel like a bum. hehe

I totally shunned my 10-year!

I hated my school. I was disgusted by the curriculum, most of the time. The school population were a bunch o' fuggin' MORONS!!!, more intent on watching soap operas than with dealing w/ other people.

The only upside was that we had the biggest punk/new wave student population, so we had the BEST underground shit at our school dances! To the point that there were people from all of the other surrounding highschools trying to get in to our gigs!

Well I went and it wasn't all that bad I suppose. I managed to see a few faces that I actually wanted to see but for the most part it was the 'cool clique' doing their own thing as always.

A few of them managed to break away from their high school years and converse with others. That's what I tried to do myself. In the end I made peace with one fella who wanted to eat my children, saw some ugly chicks who got hot, saw some hot chicks who got ugly, saw some of the popular folk get fat (I totally used the pants got smaller line and I didn't even get punched in the face, THANKS RAWB <3), saw some of the popular folk with miserable lives and some of the poor losers with GREAT lives (I cheered for them on the inside, it made my night :) )

All in all it wasn't so bad. If anything it was nice to walk into a room full of people who judged you 10yrs ago and have them go 'Holy crap.... is THAT Shawn??' I can finally close the chapter of my life known as high school with a triumphant I WIN!!! :)

Highlight of my night....

Three of the most popular girls, and dare I say hottest, come up to me and start chatting me up. We weren't friends in school so I'm kind of wondering what they hell they're doing talking to me. Well, considering the liquor was flowing it didn't take them long to fess up their motives for the conversation.

With 2 of the girls nodding their approval the 1st one says to me 'So...Shawn... you got better looking' and then she winked at me. EGO +50 points.

Glad I went if only for that one line. :)
