parking tickets

got a parking ticket today in a private lot from a private security co.

in 7 days i am surrendering my plates

does this mean i can get away w/o paying the ticket?

I don't know.

I've never been issued a parking ticket in my life. There's been plenty of opportunity for someone to come along and give me a ticket... but it's just never happened. Good for me, I guess.

i'm not positive, but i think you can get away with it.. Although your plates are linked to your DL #, so that's the only thing that doubts me

i don't think u need to pay it. don't pay it and see what happens. if they revoke your license just say "what?", and then run, and never look back.

don't pay it, pretty sure it won't go to creditors. I know Imperial doesen't.

Don't bother private lots are on their own and cannot have an effect on your license... they threaten to damage your credit however in all likelyness it will nto have that much of an effect... I am sure that if you have good credit a small parking ticket is not going to damage it.

fucking bitches! i had my truck parked in OUR building parking lot, for a while as I lost my licence, and some douche called in and complained and got me a $40 ticket. so I had to call in and make some bs story about how I just moved in from toronto and had to keep the vehicle there for a while etc and they ripped it up. yahoo

A ticket from a private company you can ginore. They can bug you and harass you to pay it but you just tell them to take you off their calling list or else you can have them charged with harassment.

If it is a City of Vancouver ticket you should pay it as they can tow you if you have enough outstanding tickets. If you are surrendering your plates then you can forget about this issue too.
