or the fact that this is promo in the lounge section and no one cares....

not to knock the talent, and definitely not knocking girl djs in general, (in fact nora is one of my fave djs period) but while it makes economic sense to sell the talent AND the tits, maybe you should put talent first and tits second :)

I was watching the documentary 'Better living through Circuitry' and the chick dj on there said that she wouldn't spin all girl parties because she didn't feel that girls should be segregated as just a titty show on the wheels.... not saying that's what this is but she did make some good points.

whenever i book female djs, or male for that matter, i always talk about their accomplishments, skills, talent, music etc... before any other style/"sex sells" crap.

God, I took 3.5 years of Women Studies at UNBC, and i don't have the energy to even begin to defend half the things that are being brought into this. Guys have done "All female" lineups at raves, club nights, ect ect... And almost every party has an all-male lineup, and there are ALWAYS pictures posted on here of them spinning too! Sheesh! I love watching boys play too! and YES many of them are hot, and YES that adds to the delight of watching their set!

I put these gorgeous pictures up because i'm PROUD of my girls. They ALL HAVE TALENT AND STYLE. Nuff said.

This stage is a means to promote and encourage females to play out and play proud!

I think the whole selling the stage as an all female lineup is not the best way to promote something. I'm not saying your stage doesnt have talent. Mirka is awesome, and I absolutely love illy's style and throwing her on mc abilities into her tracks is pretty rad. I think MC are fucking stupid. Except for her. She's also been entertaining me since the days of the java joint.

But its an embarassment to the scene, I agree with auto.. Atleast put the genres before throwing the fact that everyone on the lineup is a female.. Whatever sells.. I guess. Since you have so many people on this post that doesnt know shit about music. I'm sure your stage will do just fine.

i've got absolutely no problem with an all-girl line-up, and i know from experience it'll be a draw, and it certainly won't affect me in anyway since i'm not doing a stage and highly doubt i'll be going at all, but all i'm saying is that a little info on genre's and music would make it a less obvious marketing ploy.

yeah, there's always pictures of guys spinning, but it's usally accompanied by there name, genre, affilitions, etc.....by just posting pictures without even names alongside them it's pretty obvious you're saying "look at all the hot girls on my stage". nothing wrong with that, but that's pretty much ALL you're saying, isn't it? personally if i was one of the girls on your stage i might be choked that there's no mention of my accomplishments other than a picture of what i look like.

I have yet to see one rave that had an all male line up, that tired to use that as a selling point. So thus, I call bullshit on you.

Find me a flyer that's promoting an all male line up like your promoting this all female line up.

Your not too proud of there talent though, because you got so caught up in promoing their style you kinda forgot the talent part.

Call me an asshole, but why do we need to encourage females to play out any more then we need to encourage males? Is there some underlying fear that keeps the ladies out of djing?
