Apart from airfair, hotel and gambling, about how much money should I expect to spend?

As well, what hotel did you stay in and what did you think of it?

Anything in particular I should definitely see?

That all depends on what type of shopper you are..?

I am a crazy impulse shopaholic.. So I would make sure I had at least a grand to blow.. plus im not much of a gambler...so I would probably spend any 'gambling money' on flashy crap as well ;D

las vegas is a place where you can either spend very little or a whole lot, depends on what you want to do.
if you arent doing a package deal to get your hotel room (usually cheapest) use a california zip code/phone number to get a better rate.
ive only stayed at the luxor and excalibur, those were the more popular hotels at the time- if you are looking for amusement more than gambling the new york new york and mgm grande have amuesment park type of settings.

you really dont have to have a big budget to do vegas unless you want too

No idea how much it cost, since it was a grad present, but we stayed in the Hilton Flamingo

i was there for 5 days...hotel/flight $600 stayed @ the stratosphere tower
i spent about $100 a day...

so it was around $1100 for me...i went last week of march 05'

for a nice hotel in vegas, i suggest 'the paris' it's on the strip right across from the bellagio and has the best pastries ever.

haha, and deffinately go to the gigantic M&M store....it's awesome

I'm not that big of a gambler... just plan on doing it for the drinks :P

I've got two good deals going right now for either the MGM Grand or the Wynn Las Vegas (although i'm not sure if i'm the 5 star type :P)

Like shannon said, it depends on what you want to do. I have gone there a few times. It usually costs me ~$200/day tehre. but you really don't need to spend as much.

there are lots of cheap/great places to eat, and lots of cheap/free shows to check out. The city itself is a show at nights! specially this time of the year.

Deff check out The Luxor and Caesars Palace. Really cool inside there. OH! And the Stratosphere. Take a ride on the Roller Coaster that's on top of it.

I'm generally pretty stingy when spending my hard earned cash so I'm not too worried about spending too too much... most that have gone tell me there's tons to do without spending tons of cash!

At this point I really can't see myself going to Rain or Ice or Light... Not my scene at all but the def look neat! Is it worth to pay the $20-$50 to get into any clubs while I'm there?

depends on ur budget and patience.
rain is $25 on weekends and 1 1/2 to 2 hours lineup!
vip to skip the line is i think $90.
drinks are @ club prices.
so if clubs ain't ur scene, skip it.

haha yaaa....if you like m&m's, you can grab a bag and fill it in the order of colors you like, and there's like 250 colors or something to choose from..crazie i tell you..they even have white m&m's! I love the M&M store.


Ethels chocolates is on the first floor... and M&M's store is above that... and coca-cola store is next door, and all star cafe is next door too.
Bunch of crazy color of M&M's too..... you name it.. they got it.

Circus Circus is cool... If you feel like leaving with a shit load of stuffed animals.

As for drinkin..... you can drink anywhere pretty much. haha. it's vegas!

I need to go back there soon...........

last time i went to vegas, i spent close to a grand. i stayed at the stratosphere also, which isnt too bad, besides the location. its in the ghetto, its a ways away from the strip so count on spending a bit on cabs. but theres no cutoff time for drinking, you can walk down the street with a drink, and you can drink just about anywhere! if you have the time and money, i would definately suggest checking out one of the Cirque du Soleil shows, they are amazing!

The Monte Carlo is quite good, that's where I stayed.

Lots of good concerts in Vegas, you might want to save money and see who is playing while you're there.. we happened to catch Snoop, Warren G and Nate Dogg :)

I'd recommend a strip club but I don't think that's what you're going for?..

Thanks for all the advice! I'm finally going in 9 more sleeps, and I'm more than excited.

I've decided to not pay much on the hotel as I don't really plan on spending 'that' much time there so I have more money to play with.

I plan on doing anything and everything. Some things I've already decided on are buying a 6 pack from a corner store and drinking it while walking down the street, shooting a gun, go in any strip club I come across, try and catch every free show, play a card game I don't know the rules to, bet on cricket, dance on the bar at coyote ugly... and so on!

haha. soooo excited.

PS. My room has a jacuzzi in the bedroom/living room! hahaha.
