Excelling at a new Job
Well today was my second Day as a Cook at The Pantry. This is my first time I've ever worked in a Restaurant and I must say I almost enjoy doing it. But the best part of my Day was when one of the Servers came back and said "Who made the Cracked Pepper Burger?" I did... thinking I fucked up I was like "Uhh.... me... why?" She went on to say that "Compliments to the Chef for it!
" So needless to say I was happy. 2nd Day on the Job and I already had a Customer compliment. :) WHO WANTS A BURGER? :p

Holy job jumping. lol. :) You still at AE or just at The Pantry?
Oh yeah, and I may have a second job. The private liquor store near my house left me a message saying they want me to work there. So depending on the hours and pay I may either work both jobs or just go with the one with better pay.

Earls is the worst to work during any type of rush..you just get raped with orders... why must there be soo many goddamn things on the menu?

heh no kidding... We have so much stuff but some of it is rarely ever ordered. It's kinda nice when you get like 4 Pennes ordered so you can just toss it all in together at once.

I still do some shifts at AE as well.
The Bus to Langley isn't too bad... it's about an Hour including the SkyTrain. I'm borrowing one of Bryans' Books to read so the time flies pretty quickly.

I am quite the fan of the waffle at the pantry, though I haven't had one in ages. Good to see you're liking your job though. I too haven't worked at a restaurant and currently I am working with kids in a summer school program so yeah. I like my job too.. I have a knack for the kiddies :P

its the worst during a dinner rush...when theres a line of servers trying to ring in orders...
on a wing wednesday... 8 pounds of wings, calamari etc... only when the deep fryer can handle 6 pounds at a time, and the plate setups on the counter over flow to the next cook station... haha looks like no perfect bills for me

^^aw ure an apps boy. never knew u were at earls. im an expediter at the paramount earls =) its gonna be the busiest earls yet.. gets kinda retarded in there. but compared to the other earls i worked at the line is twice as long and the night sous and head chefs are a lot stricter so things flow nicely...seriously working in the kitchen can be almost boot camp like. takes hard work and dedication.
