we're getting some voip equipment at our office in the next few months. we're gonna use both, though, for the time being. good way to save on long distance.

Fucking idiots decided that VoIP + Call Centre = Great Idea.

So our net connectivity is teh uber slow at work. Which sucks because we've got to usually do a lot of stuff pretty quickly over the net.

it's fine if you implement it right. the voice and data should be on seperate vlans and should never cross paths.

It all has to go on the same outgoing pipeline tho

It shouldn't affect internal traffic, but it will make a difference to net/vpn access

no it doesn't, you can have a seperate circuit for voice if you want. call centers generally run off of more than one circuit anyway.

might as well, if you don't use it. i cancelled mine last month and switched to shaw for internet. when i called to cancel, though, they told me that i needn't have switched because you don't need a landline to keep ADSL anymore, since a few months ago.
