i still don't understand how mtv canada was replaced by razer TV or what ever the hell it's called. at first, i thought it was some kind of cruel joke...and that mtv canada would return after it tortured us with suspense for a while...but it hasn't come back! and now this 'new channel' and it's programming totally sucks, who seriously wants to watch buffy and dawsons creek reruns?

The company who owned the rights to MTV Canada was bought out by CHUM, the owners of Much Music. MTV had a stipulation in their contract that allowed them to stop brodcasting if this happened, so they did.
