because you made my car smell like you
and now I cant drive
because Ill kick myself on the way to work
for fighting you
instead of fighting for us

I pushed you away
and you held fast
until you had no more strength
and now I wish I had that determination
or passion
for anything at all

You wanted me
when I was unwantable
you held me
when I tried to run
and now Im standing still
and your walking away
with someone else

I thought time would numb me
but it couldnt have been long enough
because our brief meeting stirred something
and memories of what we had
wont let me sleep tonight
