They make it sound like the party was held and organized as a front for all sorts of illegal activity. If shits gonna happen, its gonna happen regardless.

I dont see how they can justify doing this... why not put that much energy going after the drug manufacturers, instead of prosecuting the securty guards and promoters for doing what they could to keep the party clean.

That's crazy that they would waste a whole f#king SWAT team for a rave, like WTF?!! Although being there woulda been kinda cool/exciting as long as you weren't the one geting beat by the pig fukrs. The part that's stupid is that there's more drugs at clubs sometimes (sure not quite the selection, but still more per capita) and those are all over the place. Oh well, just another reason to hate america.

2 charges. Looks like they're trying to make an example of her, make people scared of cops & going to events.

I had a shot gun pulled on me by a cop who had the wrong info before, totally made my day, it was friggin sweet!
A close friend and I were busting up my old beater car in the front driveway of a place I was renting at when one of my roommates came out a started freaking on me then ran inside. By the time I came inside the door was locked so I climbed in my window and then answered the phone which had been ringing for a bit, it was the police response team telling me to stay at the house and a unit would be by soon so I go outside and sure enough two or three cops in my back yard with there hands on their holdsters (but guns not drawn). I told them what was going down and the one wanted to see my registration so we go to walk around the front of the house and there's this officer in a bullet proof vest, leather gloves and an ear peice running up the side of the house putting a shot gun to his shoulder and starting to aim right at me!! It was the hugest rush! then the other cop came from around the side yelling "no, NO! it's okay!" and the guy put the gun down and I started dancing around yelling for my buddy who was in the back yard to come check it out. good times!
But again, sucks that people got hurt and the cops were so overkill at the party, total BS (but running from a party while helicopters are flying overhead and army dudes are running around with assault rifles, it's like something out of a movie)

I found a link about this last night and read over it and it really disturbed me.. young women getting beat down for asking what's going on.. anyone with cameras getting thrown in jail and their stuff confiscated just to keep their brutality out of the media.. i also read that the promoters had all the right certificates and were allowed to party but the cops took it all away from them.. more "confiscation" total bullshit i say.

They are starting to link the normal police and the military more and more everyday. This kind of stuff happens in the states a lot its just none of us in Canada usually hear about it. This wasn't about stopping a small rave to confiscate some drugs, this was a training program for the military teaching them how they are gonna treat us in the future. Those people were treated worse then Terrorists and they were just kids having fun, while the borders are wide open and thousands of illegal immigrants are being let in every year. I wouldn't go nearly to that extreme, but I do understand your dismay at what happens at larger events - especially those which pull from different target markets who's central motto isn't anything close to 'plur'.

Either way, I doubt this particular 3000 person party had droves of gang members at it.

After watching the video, I`m shocked! Legit or not, an army battalion doesn`t need to become violent with the crowd. I`m sure the soldiers were debriefed about the state of mind of the people at the event. This is outrageous. Fucken Americans and their police state attitude.
