i think in the end it's more insult. like telling a fat girl that she would be so pretty if she just wasn't so fat. the basis is a compliment, but it's cancelled out by the insult in the end.

the weird thing was that he totally meant it as a compliment and when i got a little pissed off he was completely shocked. hehe.

It's interesting that most people who said they've met there double (and actually agree they look alike) get along really well with them!

When i first moved to vancouver from Edmonton, EVERYWHERE i went i saw someone that was ridiculously similar to someone i knew in E-town. I definately had to do alot of double takes before deciding not to talk to some of them.

I think what we may be experiencing here is the wonders of statistics... with a large enough population you are bound to have people that look very similar, and there are a lot of people out there.

I wondering if when you moved to Vancity there was some psycological aspect to you "recognizing" people... maybe a way for your brain to make things more familiar than then really were? I dunno, I didn't do to well in psycology though.

It is probably a statistics thing, faces definately repeat after awhile. I find personalities do too.

ive had people ask me if i was downtown and they swore they saw me and thought that i was bullshitting when i told them that it wasnt me and then when i was in cosco some random lady was like "are you from the states" and im like "uh no" ive never seen this lady in my life and she goes wow i know someone who looks just like u from where im from.....weird

and apparently someone in europe looks just like my mom...and me and my mom look alike so i duno

its weird when people come up to you and ask u if u live here or were there at that hour....

A few weeks ago at Shambhala some random dude comes up to me at random and asks if my name is Leonard. I say yeah, how'd you know that? and he says we met earler. After listening to me speak he seemed a litte confused and then asked me if I was Leonard from New Zealand? I'm like, no, much to his surprise. This guy could not believe I wasn't the same guy!

So yeah apparently I was within a 12000 range of meeting my twin from New Zealand who has the same name..

But does anyone remember cute lil Crystal Dawn? Years ago when we both had bleach blonde hair and were lil candy ravers everybody used to get us mixed up! (although I never really saw it, must've been the pigtails) Even a boyfriend of mine at the time almost went up to her thinking she was me and was going to spank her as, but as he got closer he realized it wasn;t. hehe

racial rights? How about when you have to fill out a form and they ask what nationality you are. I'm stuck between checking one box or having to settle with the "other" box. Now only if there was an option that read "HOT" I think i'd be ok.

yup other. actualy i had one survey where it had multi racial i kinda got excited lol i was liek finally! do u find everyone always asks u what nationality u r. soemtimes i liek to mess with em and ill tell em that guy who looks like me is my big brother and were el salvadorian. or i tell em the scares i got on my leg from my accidnet are from back home in hawaii when i got attacked by sharks. or i got curly hair because im caucblasian like tiger woods

yeah, but keep in mind this was 5-6 years ago.. i was like 14/15.

people change as they grow older, as i'm sure she has too. i doubt people would still say that about us now.
