Get used to it. Gas isn't ever going to go down, just another way to increase the gap between the rich and poor. The system is a scam so why does this surprise you? I don't care what you say. One oil refinery shouldn't effect the world this drastically. Yet another cash grab. Won't effect me soon because unlike most of you I am hooking up propane to power the vehicle and pay pennies on the gallon. Now if I can just not get in an acident I'll have the man licked.

It's funny to hear people talk about how oil prices going up is some big scam (especially in a country like Canada, where knowledge of pertinent issues is fairly widespread). Oil is a finite resource, and as such is subject to supply and demand. That should pretty much explain it...

Let's just go with what you said. It's subject to supply and demand eh? I agree, but let's keep it in reason. I remember between 1995-98 you could head up close enough by Kamloops and be able to fill in for about 33 cents or so on the litre. However, you seem to think that a 200% increase in the industry (the prices just over a year ago compared to now) isn't going to create a gap in affordability? Say if it continues along the way, not even at this rate (last 3 weeks), but steadily like it has over the past couple of years, cars will not be afforadble to the same class status 30 years from now, peroid.

Though please ignore all that, I want to hear more of these pertinent issues in a country like Canada oh wise unconcious collective pioneer Pyra! Dawn me with your glory! I bet you know all about peak oil.

Okay, I will spare the cynicism. Let's just get one thing straight. I haven't checked the stock for the oil refineries in New Orleans, nor know the current global market value of all the oil in the world, and the production output of every oil refinery in the world. Until then, I will be talking out my ass to say I know the exact numbers to proove that this is or is not a scam. What I can proove, is that the industry isn't sustainable and these fluctuations aren't going to fluctuate to a lower gas price, capish?

Up until now, you might have thought you haven't been talking out your ass, but it's plain as day to see. You don't have a clue of what you are talking about.

Until you can prove to me that gas prices all around the world are being this largely effected because the output of this_one_refinery in New Orleans, I call your bullshit. Oh wait, let me guess, you think this is funny right?

Now then, I'm waiting for an ad hominem.

When did I say anything about New Orleans?

Funny thing is that you basically repeated exactly what I said

I have chosen to drive our company "smart car" this long weekend. I guess the $13 in diesel to fill up compensates for it being pink.
