how are your first few days back at school?

well, i went to my first day of classes in my third year at ubc today. felt strange to be back and walking on campus, but i know that feeling will wear off in less than a week and i'll be too busy reading and writing and stressing to feel nostalgic.

even though i've only been to two of my classes (out of five for this semester), i know that this year is going to be very difficult. the two classes that i have gone too have so much reading and writing in them. i know i can do it, but it is going to take probably three times as much effort as last year.

how is everyone else doing?

ps. my sister started grade 12 today. eep.

my first day at school was weird..new school (cap college squamish campus)..its so SMALL!!..my program has 14 ppl in it..i still have no friends..and the bussing to school sucks cuz the buses only come once an hour..so if u miss it..its over!!..buses stop running at 6pm..

so far school is easy..a little intimidated by the amount of projects i have to do this term but hopefully they'll be easier then they seem..

I went from North Van. to UBC to find out that there's no first year classes on the first day, which was my only class. Guess it serves me right for taking 1st year couses in my last semester at school.

I still had a blast checking out stuff on campus and bumping into friends.

school was alright.... except im beginning to have second thoughts about my philosophy-critical thinking class.....I'm just not engaged, but I'll probably keep taking it so i can learn something new I suppose

i skipped my first english class today, world religions went alright on tuesday, i'm looking forward too tommorow though..

I'm doing a community health rotation this semester so I got placed in 3 bridges community centre in the downtown area.

I'll most likely be working with teens and pre-teens, since no one else in my group wanted to work them. we're supposed to come up with ideas about what project we'd like to do, but I'd REALLY like to teach sex ed. I've ALWAYS wanted to do this, so hopefully the highschool counsellor will approve!



ps. my sister starts highschool this year, but she's only a baby! a BABY!! :(

I'm lovin it so far. All politics and history, bumping into old school buddies and doing something productive. It's great.

My first day at college (and yes i spelt it right this time!) was all right confusing because it was my first time there...but it was a friendly enviornment...i got yelled at by my phyc teacher that was great fun and they were giving out free cotton candy at my school! :D so all in all it was a fun filled day but im seriously worn out...got up at 5 this morning

Haha. I've realized that arts degrees are a joke and I'm treating mine accordingly. Sure am having a blast doing it too.

My classes so far are not bad, but they are going to be a lot of work. Not really ready to be back at school as i took a summer semester and then only had 1 month off.

Going to college seems like it will be fun, but I feel like i'm surrounded by 18 year olds since most people only go for 2 years and then transfer to Uvic, or take the evening classes so they can work.
I'm used to being the young'un all the time so it's throwing me off, though change is good.
