Vancouver Hornets?

Last night before i went to bed i noticed soemthin on sportsnet about vancouver possibly buying the hornets. i could be totaly off tho i just caught a glimpse then my gf changed the channel cuz it was "boring" and basketball sucked :109: anyone got more info possibliy a link

Highly doubtful it will happen I am sure the owners and the NBA wanna keep the Hornets as close to the Big Easy as possible.

ya thats what i thought too but Stern(commisioner of the nba) was quite adiment about keeping the grizzlies in canada or to continue to expand the nba north. im a huge basketball fan and would love to see a team up here again. it would be a bittersweret way of recievign the team tho. The american dollers are down plus 2 new owener so maybe lol but im a very optimistic person tho

The Grizzlies might have sucked but there was a great turnout for each game that was played here.

Who know what the team would have been like if Stu Jackson and Co. didn't pick Sleep Country over other picks like Vince Carter.

I'd love to see basketball back in Vancouver.

Grizzlies were run by a bunch of idiots period lol. stu jackson was a joke. even tho big country was a great draft pick (ie awesoem centre for 7 opverall and he was amazing in ncaa) but he wasnt worth the what? 6 mill a year :S they could have drafted so many aesoem players. shouldve drafted euro and other international players cuz vnacouver just doesnt have the streeet creds for players like steve francis or anyone else who talked trash bout vancouver

He Retired due to some re-occuring injury... his contract got payed out in full... I think it was something like $60 mill. ? not 100 % sure on that figure.

If they drafted Kobe that would of been great, but they didn't. I hope we don't get the Hornets they suck. We don't need a basketball team again, unless its a good one and the Hornets aren't good at all.

hornets only sucked last year because half their starting lineup was injure (ie mashburn , maglore, baron davis) who were all former all stars. plus nto to mention it was byron scotts first years with the team. even tho they onyl have maglore left hes an all star u can deffiently build a team around

As good as Kobe is/was, fuck him. Steve Nash is the better OVERALL TEAM PLAYER!
