I saw a show on how the creators made that commercial.... yes indeed the city is vancouver but honestly the buildings that you see are digitally altered.... as well as the surrounding area.... I mean really you see the area where there is a mountain that is far far away and everything is flat.... in vancouver.... not possible.... they did some amazing work on that commercial

The BC Hydro/Customs building is the big one right behind the roof that this is filmed on. You can see that they blanked out the Hydro logo. You can also see the steeple of the church that's down the street on Dunsmuir. Judging by that, this was filmed on the roof of the post office which is flat and does have the raised entrance that you can see on the roof in the video. But they had to erase the basketball court and giant painting of a stamp that are on the roof. They also had to add all the parking stalls and meters.
