RFID is real, it isnt a cospiracy.

yes the technology has some definate cool possibilities, but if you really sit and think about it it is kindda scary.

It is very nieve to think that the technology will only be used for tracking inventory. Sure thats one of the main reasons for the push to make the technology cheaper, but dont be fooled, RFID will go much farther than just tracking invantory. Most technological inventions (especially weapons) were not innitialy developed as weapons, rather the technology was made for some other use.

RFID is already out there, and i believe iv heard (im not 100% on this one, i dont have a source to back it up) that they are testing RFID in some countries in cellphones to identify person xyz as person xyz for advertizing. So for example xyz's buying habits are monitored, and then when xyz goes to buy a can of coke from a vending machine, video advertising is played as the person approaches the machine based on their spending habits.

Preaty much if cellphone companies implement this technology everyone with a cellphone will be electronically tracked everyware they go, everything they buy, everything they spend a single penny on. Spyware to the next level. Of course it wouldent end here, data will be farmed to no end, and everything about your life will be known by the government and advertising companies.

One point to consider- and i think we can all relate to this- you thought spyware and pop ups were bad on the internet? think about being plagued by popups real time LoL.. go to buy a can of coke and some porno add pops up, hahaha. (I know we say it would never happen, but that would be the ultimate in advertising)

I dno Im not freaking out about the technology, theres not much we can do, but its definatly something to think about, its facinating and scary at the same time.

this is definatly a technology to watch it will probably change the way we all live just like other inventions like the cellphone, the credit card and the internet. Its preaty major shit.

I remeber watching CNN that morning when 911 went down. I didn't see the first plane hit cause I hadn't gotten up just yet. I did heard the guy on CNN repoting from the pentagon when that got hit there(they were showing live footage of the Twin Towers). I don't remember if the second plan had hit the tower yet but the guy repoting from the pentagon was really confused what had hit the Pentagon. At first he said it was a helicopter that. I don't remeber what he had decided it was right after that. Later he said a plane as I'm guessing that's what the pentagon told him. How can someone be so confused? If I'm remebering right he had bit of a visual of the occurrence. I think they shot themselves with a helicoper launched missile.

passive rfid is read only, so im not really see how this works.

personalized advertising to users depending on their location (hey you're in the gap! take 20% off polos! just show this this cellphone message!) is already being done through bluetooth in the real world.

I'm not gonna go into all the scientific facts of 911 and of how incredibly obvious it is that it was Bush's reichstag. I have been over those facts with people way too much and i just can't do it anymore. I just wanna ask the people who think we're nuts for believing it, do you think 66% of new yorkers are nuts for believing it too. After 911 they at a zogby poll show that 66% of New York citizens believe government involvement. I can't describe how important that is. It was also in the New York Times but on one of the last pages as if it wasn't important news. Thats a lotta people believing the same thing. When that many people believe something theres a reason, its not just out of thin air.
