wireless internet help.

yo, im desperate.

this is driving me nuts, every 5-25 mintues my wireless connection disconnects. it works again after i reset the connection and then repeats again. the signal is fine... it's at full strength 90% of the time. it will do this shit even if i put my laptop directly in front of the router. when it disconnects, it shows that the connection is still active but i cant go on msn, browse the internet, use soulseek ect...

help me, seriously.

probly d-link... its crap. call up tech support and see if they can change some settings and stuff, it can help a lot with connect/disconnecting etc

i had the same problem for a long time, i recently reformatted and reset everythign up and now the computer isn't having any connection issues.. knock on wood**

i phoned the tech support and got some call center in india. dude couldnt help me at all, he just kept telling me to call my wireless card manufactuer.

what type of wireless card do you have? B or G? most likely you have a G router, you can change ur setting of your wireless card buy rightclicking>> properties.

also. .
check your wireless channel, and see if it's on the same channel set on your wireless card.

whatelse. . .if you have a cordless phone, that might be the problem too because by default the phone runs on the same channel ("2.4ghz") as your router.
