Don't like buying gifts/shopping (even though I end up getting really good presents for people once my hand has been forced by dec 25th), HATE malls and big crowds. Not impressed by swing towards electronic gifts, not impressed with the culture of consumerism in general.

I'll stop there.

The monetary value placed on the holidays makes me sick. If you can beat that and have people around you who have the same attitude then it rules. Nothing better than sitting around with the important people in your life around an xmas tree drinking ski jumps!

can never afford to get presents, it is chronically the worst time of the year for my wallet, and i have a lot of bad memories of my family fighting on christmas
