Sugestions for Computer Speakers

Im looking for some good quality computer speakers. Something in a $100-$200 range brand new. Any sugestions on what are the better companies or some pointers on what else to look for in good quality computer speakers?

I have some logitech speakers with a sub and two desktop speakers that have mids and hi`s. They work fine and I can definatly hear the difference in 256 - 320 quality mp3`s. As long as the sound card is good then you would be fine with those. The ran me about $100

Here's a few of different brands so you have more then one brand of choice but personaly Creative is one of the best...
If you want really good sound of your speakers thought I would recommend buying a sound card and plugin you amplifier and so stronger speakers for probably the same price you will pay for those computer speaker but better sound....anyway

creative makes really nice speakers, logitech and also altec lansing. try getting a nice 5.1, and dont think the bigger the better sound. you have to listen to them, and then decide.

i have logitech x-530, which i paid for $100 a while ago at Futureshop, Office Depot and other small places were selling them for $60... WTF... but anyway the speakers are pretty good, loud bass and crispy sound

i would get Logitech Z-5500, if i have $500 spare money to spend ... *drools* 500watts *drools*

Santa brought be some similar to these for Christmas and they do me well.

I think the ones I got run for $100 at Best Buy.

logitech x-230, for 2.1 sound. Its what i have and i couldnt be happier with it. There are also 5.1 setups etc.

I think those are the ones I got for Christmas, but im thinking of returning them and getting somethign better. Funny thing is I dont want speakers with heavy bass. Good quality crisp sound that I dont have to turn up high to hear better.

I find the fequency responce in the mids and highs are pretty flat. The bass is a bit loud though. Have they got that sorted?
