Ahh yes, Terry Fox. Highschool basketball player, long distance runner, cancer victim, and (this I bet you didn't know) - a devout follower of long-standing Middle Eastern religion. You might find youself wondering if this is actually true, and to be honest? I really don't know - but the facts sure do support the argument.


Let me tell you a story that was told to me by a good friend of mine. Her mother growing up, went to school with Terry Fox. And all the time, Terry Fox would end up throwing rocks/stones at this poor girl.
I mean really :: who the fuck throws rocks at another human being? Rocks. Heavy, bludgeoning, rather dangerous projectiles? Terry Fox does (read: *did*)!
I first told this to a few friends of mine, who ruled it out as one person's story against the "portait of a hero". WRONG.
I have since done some research, and this kind of cruelty towards women that Terry Fox displayed was more widespread than I thought. All sorts of stories from people who grew up with him, went to school with him began surfacing. Apparently my friend's mother wasn't the only one who got the same vicious treatment!

As described here , stoning for the most part has been abandoned as a form of punishment by most cultures. In fact it is mostly only prevelant in the Middle East, where stoning is still a major form of capital punishment.

So, his actions lead me to believe that he is practicing something based on Eastern Islamic belief. What's worse is Terry has done it in a Western culture, where despite our accepting society allowing believers of all religions to practice their faith, it does not supercede national/provincial/civic law. Especially so, in a country that does not implement capital punishment (which is what this is in other regions that practice this).

To sum it all up:

• Terry Fox was probobly Muslim
• If he was indeed Muslim, then he was violating Canadian law by practicing a form of punishment that in itself, is not not only prohibited by our laws, but also punishable by those same laws (e.g. being punished for punishing)
• If he truly wasn't, then he was just a fucking asshole.

Look at pictures of Terry Fox. He's always doing one of two things in every single picture:

1. Running with a look of severe anguish/pain on his face, or
2. Smiling a rather toothy smile.

Let's get this straight. If he wasn't Muslim, is he instead running because of some karmaic realization that "Hey, I was a total jerk to random girls, and now that I've lost a leg and will die soon after, I should run for the 'greater good?'". Pity-seeking asshat.
What about when he's grinning? Is it because people were throwing themselves at him, so compelled by his "determination" that they were willing to lay down money, food, clothing, and everything else just so some guy that threw rocks at girls can run around, touring the country? Gee, I wish people paid for *my* vacation and recreational expenses.
Dear post-mortem Terry Fox.
You're a colossal asshole, and with each passing year, more and more people are going to realize it. I hope your parents find out what you did before they themselves kick the bucket.

I thought this post was effin hilarious, i think you kids need to lighten up a little. Everyone has skeleton's, and Terry Fox was just trying to make up for his by becoming this "hero" Michael Jackson gave millions away to charity but did anyone remember this when he was accussed of child molestation? same sorta thing just reversed because he was a hero after instead of before he screwed up...looks like Wayne Gretzky is the only remaining canadian "hero"

just because he was accused of being a bully through school (who even knows WHEN. the above arguement is pretty invalid as far as solid sources go) doesn't mean he was practicing punishment of another faith.

such as the cancer relay for life every year..
sun run..
and being there for the veterans that faught for our country
and many other things..
