When people make a turn around.

Ok so for the last year or so we have had these neighbors that have for whatever reason taken it upon themselves to save the environment. Starting with my mother. My mom tries to do her part around our complex maybe 3-4 times a year by washing our driveways out. The reason she does this is because everyone else in the complex just expects our landscapers to do it. But they just kind of blow around the leaves and leave. We get a big build up of dust and leaves, and it really bothers the people that live below us. They have repertory problems and one has a tracheostomy.

So whenever she gets out there she has to hose down the whole parking lot because just sweeping doesn't work.
And these people come out and start screaming at her. Telling her she is killing people in Ethiopia, and other obscene things. Even if it is the middle of winter and there are no water bans they are still getting on her case. Even when they have just finished washing down all three of their trucks. One of their sons even took it upon himself to drive after her down the street swearing at her.

They also insist on coming into our complex and letting their dogs shit on our lawn, and on the odd time they decide to pick it up, they come and dump it in our trash can. Even if they live right across the street! They also just bring in their dogs off leash, with little children around. (we have a daycare for children age 2-5 in our complex) And I have been chased by many off leash dogs into my house before.

My mom has told them politely that our complex is private property, and if they could please take their dogs elsewhere. And they just lip her off, saying they can do whatever they want. So one day she called the authorities to ask what she could do to keep people out, since they were being abusive to a lot of people in our complex. They ended up sending someone to talk to her. And when she explained her problem the officer went over to the neighbors and fined them for having the dogs off leash in a public area.

So of course that went over well. lol

So yesterday after a bit of calm my mom decided to clean out the driveway. And on queue one of the neighbors comes out and starts yelling at her. Just freaking out saying that she is wasting water, and that all the dog owners are mad at her. He also started just saying random things, like we should not have men in our complex and she should cut her hair. ( WHAT!?!?!) He also says that he is going to watch her all the time, and make sure she doesn't waist water and stuff. So she tells him to stop harassing her or she will report him to the cops.

So pretty much my neighbors are crazy people.
But today the man that was yelling at her decided to listen to his conscience and come talk to her like a normal human being.
He first off apologizes saying that after he yelled at her, his fathers voice came into his head, and it made him feel bad for how he had reacted.
So he decided to talk things out with my mom, and actually get all the info, and her point of view. He even offered to come over and help her sweep from time to time. Because he knows the people downstairs are having a hard time, and thinks it's good that my mom is just trying to make things easier for them.

So hopefully after that he can talk to some of the other neighbors, and maybe we can get some slack. So today was a good day. Because my mom has gotten nothing but shit lately, and just for trying to clean her own property, and ask that people treat us and our home like they would expect us to treat theirs. I just hope this gets better, because it sucks having to live beside people that feel like they have the right to treat you like crap.

lol I must admit the thought has crossed my mind. And this is just a recent problem. Don't even get me started on the old crazy neighbors. I swear our street has a welcome sign for crazy irrational people.
I started to wonder if it was something we were doing. But I can't think of anything we have done to provoke anyone. It's just they do something, and when we ask them to stop they just get worse!

umm.. if they have kids, they obviously have a man in THEIR pad. I have highly irrational reason to believe these people may be a part of a cult.. one that holds double-standards towards water usage, social contact with the opposite sex, and also may consider logic to be a sin. Your only hope is the get the catholic church on their arses. Smote those biatches.

oh and also I ment to mention. The reason the guy mentioned men was because he had the impression that our complex was strictly for single mothers. But still it really isn't any of his buisness.

But it does sound like buddy has issues going on. He said that he got fired for some reason, and was dealing with family issues. But it sounded like anger management stuff.
It still doesn't explain all the other people though, because this is just one neighbor. There are like 3 others as well that do this stuff on a regular basis.

I used to work in a townhouse complex as a janitor for 3+ years, and I was witness to a lot of ugly altercations between residents over the smallest of things.

If I had seen an incident similar to the one you describe above, I would be in shock because I would have never thought it possible.
