Why banana peels are so damn slippery in the Looney Toons?

PS. The Bugs Bunny Movie is on channel 50 right now.

Thumbs up for the most random thread ever.. they are slippery because they are slimy and old :D and cartoons don't have the capabilities to shade a brown banana so they just colour them yellow :D

the only way we can find out is by trying.... eat a banana and go to the kitchen where it has alike a vinyl or ceramic floor and put the peels on the floor and try and slide!!!

i slipped on a bannana peel in high school..... i recovered though like a smooth operator and didnt hit the ground.

But they aren't slimey and old!

The gangster guy eats a banana, throws it out on the concrete and someone is guaranteed to fubar when they step on it.

And they NEVER see the banana peel laying there either! EVER!

Looney Toons have always had a way to make me laugh.

They don't make cartoons like that anymore. :(

i've seen someone throw a peel in front of someone as they stepped forward on it and totally bail. couldn't have been scripted better haha, they are hella slippery man!
