Stolen Records
Bad news alert....
Saturday evening between 7pm - 10pm, my van was broken into and a crate of records was stolen, near Commercial Drive & East 11th http://maps.google.com/?ll=49.260474...5,0.007231&t=h (right where the "E" in E 11th is) While this is obviously a shot in the dark, thought I'd throw it out there just in case. shitty new man - sorry to hear that.
I once had my car broken into (actually, i was an idiot and left it unlocked). The thieves went through my entire car and stole my iPod and my iPod fm transmitter. I was pissed for just 2 minutes when i found it missing but it subsided into uber panic when I remembered that I had like 3 crates of records in my trunk, my brand new pair of Sennheiser HD25s, and my needles. Needless to say, that I checked the trunk and everything was still there (even though evidence points to the thieves going through my trunk). After that I was all "iPod? Who cares? I still have my records!"

In many realities, I'm quite lucky, as I've heard worse stories from people who've lost waaaay more. 24 records is not inconceivable to try to replace. So I just got back from the great record hunt... Big thanks to Vinyl Records & Beatstreet for all their help, I'm lucky to have kick ass record stores in my neighborhood. With my re-purchases and donations from generous people, I've done extremely well so far, having replaced a remarkable 15 out of 24 tracks!
