Custodial Sentence?

Hey just wondering what a Custodial Sentence is, does anybody know what it is? I think it mean a sentence to be in custidy, ie prison, but not a 100% sure.

Sounds like fun. So it pretty much means get yoself a great lawyer asap cause your fucked. I should let my buddy know that, cause he thinks its a big joke. He's gonna shit his pants when he hears this.

ya, a custodial sentance is where you are placed in some type of institution, unless he's pleading insanity it probably means jail.

Its over the most stupidest thing ever too. Wow what a kick in the ass, its a good thing there were two witnesses and gave writen reports of what really happened and no some crap that some guy told the cops.

Werd apperantly, its impossible to prove assult especially if you have two witnesses on your side with written reports. Also crown counsel doesn't look for a custodial sentence if someone doesn't have a criminal record. So its all good and groovy, gotta love the canadian justice system, thank good we live in canada and not anywhere else. I love canada so much, even more now :) Its my favorite place in the whole wide world.

Let's so some how they can prove assault what can someone get without a criminal record? A Restraining Order?

I'm saying; let's say that crown counsel proves that assault has been commited, but the accused doesn't have a criminal record. What kind of punishment might the seek?
