Unlike the womens the mens is actually very competitive and any team minus latvia and germany can win on any given night with the right conditions hence canada losing to switzerland.

This is why mens olympic hockey is great watching where as womens is just not.

people that routinely play high intensity hockey
im not saying they arent because you can see that individually the players seem to be playing hard, that is because they have heart
the coach doesnt see mto be able to put them together in a way that in vbeneficial to each players strengths
whne we are being trapped like we were today, quinn should have figured soimething out, it is not up to the players to do that

we won in 2002 because of the strong veteran experience
this year we are lacking a lot of the big names, and mccabe and bouwmeester suck.

Another factor I think is fucking us up is the new NHL rules... I mean even right now the U.S team is struggling... They had a struggle with god damn Kahzakstan for crying out loud...... With the swiss, fins, swed's, slovak's sure they have some nhl players but they also some home brewed boys who are not in the nhl and know the olympic rules like the back of there hands.... Our team comprises of mostly NHL players who had to adjust to these new gay rules and some are still struggling to deal with it. And to then be put into an olympic roster that go's based on olympic rules.... pretty much what they used to play is just screwing them up big time.

On another note the line's that pat quinn has been putting out is absolutely fuckin retarded. And I agree with the last post.... why didn't they choose sutter???

Dude the Olympics use their rules not the NHL.

The Olympics have always had no two line pass. and if you havn't noticed if they were playing NHL rules. The ice would have the two lines painted behind the net for the NO GOALIE ZONE.

but they don't a goalie can play the puck anywhere unlike the NHL.

Also the swedes and slovaks are almost comprised of all NHL players.

Sweden only has 2 players that aren't in the NHL right now
