David Lee Roth (ex Van Halen guy) in Van area?

There's stories of David Lee Roth and his roadies being seen in Chilliwack and Vancouver area. Limos seen, various unusual looking characters...

Anyone know anything about this?

Not a fan, but wondering what's going on. & my camera is ready.

This is the third time I've heard of this. My buddy's uncle is a real estate agent, and said that he bought a house in Agassiz. Go figure. I'd kill to jam with the guy

Hmmm well I will try to find out more.

My info comes 2nd hand and is related to someone staying in a local hotel who seems to be working for Roth in some way, but we're not sure yet. It could be tall tales.

There is also a possibility someone is pretending to be Roth and looks something like him. In order to get free beers etc.

Don't be fooled, he is NOT the real David Lee Roth!!!!!

I know the guy you're referring to, he's David's former stand-in look-a-like (he used to use this guy as a decoy for media, etc. when he was on tour and the like). He's been going around the lower mainland for the last YEAR claiming to be David Lee Roth and cashing in on the amenities provided to stars. He was once a client at the tanning studio I formerly worked at - he tried to tell US that he was David Lee Roth but being the sleuth I am I looked up photos and compared them to him the next time he came in and...dun dun dun...it was NOT the same guy! They do look similar though!

The REAL David Lee Roth actually has been working as a paramedic in NYC and cut off his blonde hair to "blend in" so that he could focus on his new job and not worry about being recognized.

Interesting. Yeah I think you're right. The "crew" guy who is staying at the hotel is not the one pretending to be David Lee Roth but might be associated with the Roth pretender who once dropped by in a limo. The crew guy seems to have no money and is getting free rent on account of the stories and he is kind of amusing so the managers (who I know) are letting him get away with it for a while as it is a bit of fun.

There are several young people (late teens maybe) apparently hanging around the crew guy and also seen in the limo, probably they are thinking they are mingling with rock stars and crew and intrigued by the stories.

Someone had a look at the "Roth" guy and, like you, found pictures of the real Roth on the net and said they were similar but the teeth and other features were different. The real David Lee Roth has a big tooth gap and the pretender does not.

My friends the hotel managers have lots of stories about this kind of thing - people staying at the hotel with fake names & stories etc.
