Please Boycott Blenz

Blenz made my friend who needed to use the washroom extreamly, purchase something before she used it. We all know the patrons only rule. She is a customer and she told the dumbass barista that she would pay for somthing on her way out, she just could not wait a lineup of customers before she used the can. The girl was had to go so bad she was almost in tears. The dumbass at the counter said "we've been having troubles with transiants". This girl in no way is a transient! Not that she was wearing gucci sunglasses, still not a transient!

Stop going to blenz and if you do still decide to buy coffee at blenz, bitch to the staff like crazy. You can't treat people like this. A regular customer who needed to use the washroom because of an emergency shleped aside. Customers in the lineup were bitching, saying "just let her use the washroom". Wtf has the world come to?

harsh! i've gone to many places and used the washroom before buying anything. if they've had problems with transients, can they not tell who is and who isn't. unbelievable!! it's losers like this who screw up things for normal, upstanding citizens. :(

It was probably an isolated incident from one stupid barista. Some of these tools really like to follow it by the book just because they can.

I used to work their but ya some of their rules are just plain old crule.

I just used my own discretion.

Thats all it takes. Use your own discretion if it looks like she honest to goodness needs to go to the washroom. Use some discretion and let her go.

If she looks like a druggy use discretion and make up an excuse.

It is probably the employee, considering its up to them. Not really the company, cause if the company says don't let customers use the washroom without buying something and you let them anyways.

Who's gonna stop the employee from letting the person use the washroom.

So, you're telling people to boycott a company because of an employee's behaviour rather than something the corporation did.

In addition to that, you want people to bitch at other staff members that have no relation whatsoever to that particular barista that served your friend.

I'll boycot Starbucks before I boycot Blenz, but im not a big coffee drinker so I'll just keep your story in mind in case I feel like denying a big business a couple of dollars.

Good luck with your boycot though, please keep me up to date on Blenz' financial status, when do you expect them to claim bankruptcy?

i have been workin in resturantts for about 4 years now and i mean unless the person looks like a crackhead or scummy and looks like there goin to do sumthin wrong then why not let them use it.. i mean how would i feel if the next time i was at a place and had to use the bathroom and the person behind the counter was that person u turned down and made them buy sumthin and did that to u... man that would suck...

Keep in mind the person behind the till is probably just a Minimum wage drone and has company rules to follow, and that the COMPANY cannot start to make rules to restrict washroom usage based off of somebody's appearance or social status, so usually the easiest way to make sure your highly under-trained staff doesn't allow transients into the bathrooms is to establish that bathrooms are for paying customers.

Yeah, it totally sucks that the jackass behind the till didn't let her into the washroom, but before you go boycotting Blenz re-evaluate the events

Common practice for small establishments..... nothing new... in reality they have every right to deny you access to any of there facilities. What I don't get is every blenz shop I've been around is in either a shopping mall or is close to other bigger places like mcdonalds or burger king where they frankly don't give a damn.
