Oh geekiness....

I've been playing video games since I was 6 years old that range from sonic, mario, mario cart, 007, Street fighet, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, Soul Calibur, CS, SC, gunbound, Halo 1 and Halo 2, Mario Smash Brothers, Tekkan... the list goes on and on

I have designed my own websites and know how to code HTML

I too wipe off my LCD screen weekly and kiss my laptop from time to time

My laptop's name is Ophelia which means helpful in Greek

My IPOD's name is Petra

Basic computer functions are like second nature to me and I use key shortcuts on a constant basis

You can most likely see me with 5 or more MSN windows open at one time, while I am doing my homework and posting on various boards and websites

I get joy out of blowing things up (in video games of course) and watching it on TV and in movies, I watched all of the Xfiles from when I was old enough to comprehend what was going on. Also watched various other geeky shows.

I am sure there is more, but I am too tired to type it all out... ps, jeff you're geeky enough that you can google your name and get enough hits to last you quite a while.

Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon.

My favourite part was being encased in Jell-o. particularily because you could try eating your way out, but you hated lime... so the game was over.

Hmm... someone mentioned AD&D as a geeky past time... personally, I don't think it is at all... but I played it for 6-7 years, for a while was a DM, and ya... I worked at Stream (doesn't that say it all?). On the computer 24-7. And, ya :S

im sitting at stream right now, posting in a geek confession thread, running msn through two proxies, and coding some rough html while dealing with a customer that i deem 'too inept to own a computer'.

yea true.. thats a lot of peoples highlight is to play at cpl.. but i dunno i've been to a bunch of big tourny's and they're all the same.. shitty ass steam errors that delay the tourny 2-5 hours then u play cs and thats it.. and if ur good u win some stuff.. but i must say having paid travel for that stuff is pretty dope cuz i went to a bunch of places i didnt expect to.. like dallas and winnipeg (watch out for worms there.. man was that the weirdest thing ever.. i went outside at like 9pm and there were probably 10000 worms all over the sidewalks)

You're wrong. There was no Monolith Burger in Number 2, that's the one where you're stuck on the desert planet for most of the time (Vohaul's Revenge).

There was also the Mrs. Astro-Chicken game in Space Quest IV (Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers... in the mall section of Space Quest X: The Latex Babes of Estros, by far the coolest portion of Space Quest IV).

And I can't believe we've gone babbling about Sierra games like this and nobody's mentioned Leisure Suit Larry.

I'm guilty of all of that. And my buddy and I at one point started to get so fluent with Klingon that we were going to try to use it as a second language to get into university.
edit: except I never wanted to marry a mage.

same. I'd watch TNG every night, and then hit up my computer and practice writing a basic HTML webpage as fast as I could. I got to the point where I could have a 12-cell table with pictures and text done up in less than 10 minutes. I'd also make little board games and first-person adventure games in SimpleCard. Great software. . . until I started marathon toking.

AD&D for four years, 3rd edition for a good 5. I kinda miss that good ol' THAC0 system, but the d20 is much more efficient. Yep.. geeky as fuck, but it's fun =). and I'm starting at stream. . . I think I need some taped glasses and suspenders now. .
