Kraig is a jewel in the roughKraig is a jewel in the roughKraig is a jewel in the roughKraig is a jewel in the roughKraig is a jewel in the rough
New office is almost complete!

Ohhhhh yeah. Fuck it's about time. Having my decks setup temporarily on the dining room table just wasn't cutting it.

Custom desk built and installed in the office... two 21" viewsonic LCD monitors setup side by side... decks setup battle style with all the gear -- although the 1000 mounts have to be installed. Once those are done then we are laughing. Also waiting for all of the cabling to arrive for our KVM switch box so I can switch from my machine to Azim's... once that's done I can FINALLY start putting together a new CD I think.

A bit more work, but almost there.

Now I have to go to Ikea or somewhere and buy some shelving that holds records for my room. Any suggestions? What are you peeps using?

Hey Kraig, this is an Expedit. It can be found at Ikea for 119 + tax. They had it positioned standing up in Ikea but as you can see I laid it on its side to double as a table for my decks. Either way, it holds between 5 and 6 hundred records.

Hmmmmm that may not be an option as I don't have a wall long enough in my room... I'll definitely check it out though.

kraig I bought one of the record bins at Hypnotic years ago when they shut down. Its made out of sheet metal. It has a really cool industrial look and has 6 large spaces for records. I cant drag it up my stairs in my new hosue so im trying to get rid of it. make me an offer.

Hmmmmm... I'm not sure if I want a sheet metal record bin in my room. I'm trying to remember what these things looked like.

Do you have a digicam? Take some pics of it!

They're not as ugly as Matt is makin em out to be. They're more industrial/post modern looking. I remember them having a sort of high class vintage feel.

Hmmmm... my only concern then is 1.) the size of these things and 2.) scratching the hardwood floors.

Matt-HEY-HO -- post pics!

Our place is big so it's all good... If it's too long though, it would interfere with my bedroom door.

they're fucking big and ackward.... it won't work for your dt place...

Build something custom... I assume you can use a scrilsaw and a drill. Then atleast you can finish it the way you want it. Besides ikea is cheese.

This is true. I guess I'm looking (if it's possible) for something that's fast, cost effective and still looks good.
