do you think in a few years it will be mean to put a child in time out?

Beatings turned to switches = switches turned to belts = belts turned to spanking= spanking turn to time outs

Bed without dinner is seen as harsh... now in a few years will time outs be seen as emotionally hard on children??

I use TIme out on the kids i babysit and it works... I'm just thinking of what will be used to tame children in the future.

if my kid acts like a dip shit and does stupid things then they are gonna get spanked good. When i was a kid somtimes my mom brought out the wooden spoon and smacked my ass good, fuckin hurt !!.. After that all she had to do was just say "wooden spoon" and i didnt dare to act that way again.

i dont think time outs will become seen as harsh or abuse or anything like that.

i think timeouts give the child a good chance to calm down & get over the issue, so that the parent can calmly discuss the problem with the child.
