Any Leaf Fans out There???
Now before I get spammed and hit with infinite Negative Karma...let me explain why I am a Leafs Fan...
I was raised in Windsor and lived there for almost 10 years...so they are my hometeam...what kind of hockey fan would I be if I jumped on the Vancouver bandwagon just because I moved??? Not much of a fan....just another one of those "OMG VANCOUVER MADE THE PLAYOFFS SO ALL OF A SUDDEN I WATCH HOCKEY" faggots. Anyhoo...the chances are slim to none of Toronto making the playoffs this year. The problem, although very broad can actually be slimmed down to a few reasons imh. A) Lindros/McCabe/Tucker/Sundin Injuries B) Cap/Off-Season Killing the Leafs (Lost Roberts, Leetch, Niewendyk, Nolan, Mogilny, etc)...although some of those loses were not cap based. Anyways...the future does look bright for the Leafs...with Pogge and Rask coming up, Goaltending wont be an issue in the future. The fresh batch of new defensemen getting tested recently also shows much promise. /end rant.

Actually there is NO chance they will hit the play offs this year. Buffalo capped them in a 2 - 1 Shootout last night.
Not a fan, but it was on at the Pub.

I can respect that. I'm from Ottawa-West, and my team is the Senators. However, being an Ottawa fan,, naturally I can't stand the Leafs.
I said at the very begining of the season, and I quote "if Toronto wants to succeed this year, their going to have to learn how to play hockey first." It was more of a joke at the time, but GOD DAMN! Its actually because their team is full of old players who can't keep up anymore. In the seven times they've met up with my team this year, they have yet to win. Rask will be a good attribute to the team, however a young rookie goalie won't be enough.

I am a leafs fan , raised in BC , but the leafs are canadas team , next year it will be a re-building year and you said it with Eddie going down a few weeks back , I feel a bit releived knowing that starting in goal we Have Pogge and rask ,
go leafs go and at least even if the leafs have a losing season unlike the bandwagon jumping Vancouver fans we will be back next year rain or shine win or lose to cheer those blue shirts on !! GO buds Go!!!1

No no no.... Just because they have a maple leaf for their logo, and because the CBC says so, does NOT mean they are "Canada's Team". I agree with the previous posted point about Montreal. Personally I strongly believe if your a Leafs fan, and you arn't actually from Toronto... That you were raised wrong. Everytime I see a little kid wearing Leafs gear here, I shake my head.
