Please read: Studio Robbery
I have given my life and my heart and poured all my resources into this little studio I had, and someone very pointedly decided that while I was out all week playing gigs they were going to slip in there and take only my Tascam FW-1082 digital mixing console
 and my Technics DH-1200 headphones.  Both were brand new. I hadn't even had a chance to write the serials down. Thanks very much. I'm pretty sure if it was a random crackhead they would have maybe taken the Tannoy Reveals that were just sitting on the piano unplugged, or even some of the smaller keyboards. Why neatly unhook all my audio and midi cables and remove the board? Why go through my record bag and take my headphones? If you hear of anyone you know mysteriously acquiring something like this, or someone offers you a "really good deal" please, find it in your heart to let me know. I am devastated. Thank you.

On another note however I dunno if its a coincidence or anything but would you think that it could possibly be someone on this board.... I mean after all you did post pictures of your studio a week or 2 ago....

Sounds like it could be someone you know, someone who know where you things are, or knows what you had and only took what they needed. Ill keep my eyes and ears open for anything like this,
but i would have to say, whoever took these things probably stole them to use themselves.

Im very sorry for your loss.
There are so very very weak individuals out there. Dont take this the wrong way or anything because you shouldn't but DONT post pics of your setups online. You NEVER know who is reading these forums and who knows it could have been a friend of a friend who stole your stuff. Bottom line, DONT TRUST ANYBODY!

It really sucks when you have to wonder about your friends like that.
If whoever took that stuff IS on this board I have one thing to say to you: You are a slimy human being. I hope you feel bad, and I hope karma bites you in the ASS for this.

oh my...that is really terrible!!
i am so sorry to hear that. illesha as you know im a gear nut as well and have well over 7k invested so far in gear. as a result i am EXTREMELY protective about who i invite in my lab. i always record and keep receipts and make a video tape of all the gear in the studio. ...ill keep my eyes keen if i hear or see of anyone with this bit of gear and im always tracking the papers for deals on gear so ill stay double sharp on the tascam! fucking bastards.

That really sucks esp. since you didn't even get to break them in at all, and If it was someone you know, that is beyond disrespecful and makes the situation even worse. I'm really sorry to hear this happend to you..i lose stuff all the time but it's a lot different when you work hard for something you care about and someone just steals it from you.
Hope you get to the bottom of this.

The Tascam is worth about $1100, the headphones $200, the needles $100 apiece. It's not the WORST, but it is pretty bad because I can't do anything. I can't put a record on, I can't listen to anything, and the Tascam is my central command station which is my soundcard as well as my interface.
I don't know how they got in. The door was locked on my way out on Thursday 3 am, and locked on my way in at Friday 9 pm!!! There is a deadbolt with a plate . It's hard to lock sometimes so there is a small chance that myabe on Thursday I locked it and it didn't quite click.. but I ALWAYS check, especially since I get new gear. And I'm sure when I came in Friday it was locked as well.
