the liquor store on davie by the safeway gives you 1.50 on the dollar for american.
i buy all my booze there since most of my cash is american.

shopping in the states is only worth it if you do it right. spend 2 nights there for the exemption and get your ass down to portland for no tax. exemption is 200cdn, but more importantly you can bring back a litre of boozy goodness for dirt cheap. added bonus, some liquors are stronger. ie: tanqueray is 47%

and selection is better.

bustin caps, red lobster and new kicks. 3 things i must do while in the states. and if you're smart you can time it with some sort of cool event down there, ie: disco d a few years ago. or t-bone last year.
