Colbert tears Bush a new asshole
This is a video of Colbert tearing Dubya to shreds at a White House Press Correspondents Dinner. Dubya, McClellan, and others are sitting on the stage with him. Colbert really does have enormous balls. The audience is completely shocked.....It's almost unbelievable, but it really happened.
John Stewart can now officially step down, here here! |

Yeah that was pretty fucking awesome. Colbert is the shit.
Bush actually made fun of himself pretty good too, I saw it on bbc but im sure theres another video of it somewhere. He had this bush look alike with him on stage who acted out what was going on in his head, it was pretty funny. At least Bush knows he's a twat. |

What makes you think its fake?? This is the same dinner bush stood up and made fun of himself. Check things out before you spout "fake" "In April, Colbert will perform at the White House correspondents' dinner, where he'll stand next to—and poke fun at—the president himself." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11182033/site/newsweek/ |

the finest line of the wole thing:
"Let's review the rules. Here's how it works. The president makes decisions, he’s the decider. The press secretary announces those decisions, and you people of the press type those decisions down. Make, announce, type. Put them through a spell check and go home. Get to know your family again. Make love to your wife. Write that novel you got kicking around in your head. You know, the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration. You know -- fiction." ...brilliant, |

it was a roast. it was an eloquent & hilarious roast, but a roast none the less. this does not make bush look bad, if anything it has the opposite effect. Bush is comfortable being lampooned in public. he laughs at himself, even in the face of Colbert's scathing wit. it shows his supporters that he can face up to his detractors, while letting said detractors feel as though a point has been scored against him.
it's good PR. |

HUGE career boost for Colbert too. Good on him! *edit: probably not to 'win votes' as it's his final term in office... but it's a calculated PR move none the less Last edited by Wood; May 02, 06 at 11:44 AM. |

i only saw a few clips of it last night on the colbert report, but i can't wait until i get to see the whole video.
it's completely a PR stunt. a funny one, but a PR stunt nontheless. bush gets to make himself look like he can take a joke even in the face of bad approval ratings and comedians picking on him. regardless of the intentions, it's still damn cool. |

Stephen Colbert gets an opportunity to "speak from the gut" five feet away from George Dubya Bush. You won't believe what he implies. Nor will you forgive yourself if you don't download this torrent or at least Google the subject of this email and watch this awkward golf clap receiving total destruction of everything George Bush hates to hear he is spoken directly to him at the same dinner table [don't bother looking for him after about a minute into the address - they stop showing his grimace pretty quick - until the end when you can enjoy Stephen getting the kiss of death from the table heads]. If you have any political sense of humour, you should find this funny of several different, rewarding levels. "This is a major event in modern American history." "My respect for Mr. Colbert just tripled. This guy has elephant balls!" Watch this now; you won't regret it. |
