I'm thinking its the bush administration just trying to hype up the republican party in the polls. Letting the bush admin take shots at themselves for the better of the party. Making them look like they don't take themselves too seriously. Wool over sheeps eyes.

i think that's what that dinner is there for. presidents and the government poke fun at themselves.

in the whole video they have clips of past presidents making fun of themselves, too.

yea it seemed a bit wierd. At first, I wondered if they were both impersonators feeding off each other and it was all a set. But no, one is really Bush. It's kinda hurting.

duh, you think I don't get it? I know what a roast is mr. obvious.

I'm just saying that there was never this much media hype for this before. Why now? It's getting pretty damn close to start campaigning for the election in the US. Might aswell start sifting some funny in there to make the republicans look like their almost facist regime isn't so bad.

^i would guess that there was more media hype for this one because bush is the president that everyone loves to hate. plus, they brought on a very high profile comedian that is really popular right now. that's probably why we heard more about this roast night than most others. the internet helps these things spread like wildfire.
