Something like that. In any case, Hills is considered by the serious Absinthe community to be the Coors Light of green faeries. Hills runs between $60-$100 per bottle. This King stuff runs about $200 US.

my buddy brought some of that back 2 years ago from czech republic. tastes similar to sambuca. It got me pretty drunk!! Never hallucinated though *sigh*

as far as I know, the hallucinations are somewhat of a myth. If I understand it correctly, they used to use laudanum on a sugar cube to obtain the full-out visuals. The sugar would counter-act the lethal effects of the poison and the laudanum would act as a catalyst for the thujone. I could be wrong though.

ive had a full bottle (well, i had some help from heather :P) of the stuff in the BC liquor stores... was hella good, got HELLA drunk like i couldn't believe. didn't see anything...

then i tried a few shots of the real shit at a bar on denman (i had to ask to look at the bottle)...

now...i never hallucinate on anything....and altho i wouldn't say i was full out seeing things, i definitely was seeing things that weren't there out of the corner of my eye. and that was only on 4 shots, i can imagine a half bottle would have gotten me right fucked heheheh

i assume the chemical components you are talking about is what is in the wormwood that is used for the real shit. just make sure its "extract" not "flavour" and it's the real shit.

this one time some of my friends had a bottle of Absinthe and they threw some weed in it..... wow was that ever disgusting
