For the Royal Military College...

Yes, as much as I've bitched about Officers in the past. I've finally bucked up and sent in my Application to the Canadian Forces. With all that's going on in this World and the lack of support that the Forces are getting I figure that if I can help in any way and still get a Degree that's paid for, why not? Four Years paid for by my Seven Years of Service? Totally worth it. We'll see if they accept me.

My cousin is at rmc right now. He says it's pretty intense. I was checking it out last year, it's pretty tough to get in.

It is intense, but totally worth it. A number of my Friends have been already.

Thankfully I've been out of School long enough that I qualify for Mature Student Entry. And I've got 8 years of Cadets to help with the process.

Nope, I applied for Signals, Artillery or Infantry.

Flying in the Military is too much of a crap-shoot still. I want Choppers but I could be assigned to Auroras and I wouldn't be able to deal with 14 hour Patrols over the Arctic. Hell I could barely stand living there for 8 months.

Getting into the military is a whole lot more than shooting people or going to war (he'll probably never do anything too dangerous anyway)

it's more about the experience, people you meet, places you go, things you learn.. not to mention the benefits you get from serving the Gov. .. its a no brainer.

I don't see what you have against it.
