He did most of the work but man, it's so fun making and eating dinner together. If it was a date, it'd be a great conversation starter.
Agreed.

plus, it will teach you how to make new things!!!!

Accroding to the boy, I cant cook pasta worth shit.
[Tho Erin would argue that.] So now he's the one to make it.
Apparently I'm just to stick with making the mexican food...... WTF?!

Erin and I always cook together tho..... it's like an adventure. HAHAHA

i ended up making up my own recipe, i call it "Andrew's African Masaya Suprise" it consisted of sauted onions, garlic, and bay leafs, then i added a few peeled tomatoes, tandoori masaya powder, salt, chopped chicken breast, shrimp, coconut milk, and topped it with lemon juice and served it over white basmati rice.

i honestly think it was the best experiment i've ever made, and she absolutly loved it! so the moral of the story is: cook for women, they REALLY appreciate it, and a little creativity goes a long way! :)

You can spend less then 40$ by cooking steak and lobster/crab/scallops/mussels/clams/whatever, a nice bottle of wine/good beer? I'm impressed.

I think it really depends.

Are you a good cook?
Will there be a private, romantic setting? (read: flowers, candles, NICE dinnerware, tablecloth, etc.)
What do you have planned for AFTER the dinner?

I really would love either.
Especially if he could make a mean risotto.

1.) yes i am.
2.) not really. my stuite does not have much in theway of romance. it was private though, cause erik went up to hamilton of the long weekend.
3.) just a movie, watched a couple of boxing matches (she's really into boxing), then take her home. that's all.

^ Well then.
I would say that sounds pretty nice.
For next time I would advise candles and flowers. Even if you don't have a nice dining room table, have it on the coffee table! You can pick up a nice-ish black tablecloth for like $10, throw that over the coffee table, and put a couple of candles on it, with a red rose or two, some little pillows on the floor and BAM mood is set!

1.) i don't have a coffee table

2.) i already have a table cloth

3.) i'll buy the candles, and the rose, and try again on my normal table wednesday. if all works out good, i'll love you forever (in a plutonic kinda way).
