I bought Oakley "valve" last year, but I started to hate the way they looked , and I didn't like the black lenses.

I just bought "Splice" . They make green greener , and shitty days seem sunny. Highly reccomended.

To me fashionable doesn't necessarily mean brand whore, but to answer the question (and as previously mentioned by others) I go through sooo many pairs of sunnies during the summer that I don't spend more than $30 on a pair usually.

If I somehow found the world's most amazing pair of sunglasses that I absolutely not live without having, then maybe I'd consider spending more.

^ thats like me, i go for ones that look good and i like but i dont spend much, not only that but i have like 6 or 7 diferent pairs that i have got this year :P Sunglasses and purses are my 2 favorite things.
That and i loose things so easily that id rather loose $30 then $300

Lose and break them too often to buy expencive ones.

pretty much all sunglasses do the job blockin out uv.
it's the optics ur paying for.
i never used to like oakleys
until i read a comparison test in an aviator magazine.
the oakleys came out #1
even better than standard issue us air force randolph.
the worst kind of sunglasses are
fashion designer crap like gucci, fendi, prada... etc,
the optics is no better than a pair of roadside $9 glasses.

I've had numerous pairs of oakleys in the past.

They have great lenses and superb warranties.

I've also owned several pairs of dragon's and spy's.

My newest pair of Electrics I have are amazing, the lense quality on them is some of the best I've ever had.

I have a pair of vogue glasses with no frames. I find I have a hard time finding the right shape for my face, so I find I'm not usually blowing a lot of cash on glasses that are just going to look so/so. I found a pair of polarized ray bans that I liked a while back, and now I'm kicking myself because I didn't buy them and I can't find the same style anymore.

yea you are right, but I tried a lot of prada, armani, d&g,... glasses, but I can´t find any that look good on me. May be it´s because I have been wearing oakleys for a few years... In Italy everyone wears huge glasses, they have to be made by a fashion brand like the ones mentioned above. They look good on some people, but some ppl look ridiculous, seems like the glasses are bigger than their face.

Surprisingly enough, no they're not big heavy and uncomfortable.
Both the Thump and Thump 2 weigh about the same (approx 1.8oz) which is pretty good considering it has mp3 technology built right in. Personally, I like the design of the Thump 2 better. The Razrwire is only 1.3oz. In all three frames, the lightweight and the design of the frames make them all around comfortable to the wearer.

The frames itself are made from O Matter material which is why they are superlight but amazingly durable. The optics in Oakley lenese are phenomenal. You truly get more than you pay for. This is what makes Oakley, Oakley. I also just went to an Oakley products seminar last night, and the stuff they have coming up is amazing.

This month, The Oakley "O Rokr" is coming out to the market, finally. Guess what it is? A combination of the Thump and the razrwire! It looks pretty cool actually. Talk about convenience at your fingertips.

But hey by all means, try before you buy. Everyone is different and not every product suits every consumer. Any product from Oakley is a smart investment, and they really devote themselves to keeping their customers happy. :)

Are you kidding me?? Oakley has quite a pretty reasonable selection of different styles when it comes to sunglasses, but mainly geared toward men. Check out the catalogues on their website. The Oakley sunglasses are divided into three material types: O MATTER, WIRE and X METAL. Both the O MATTER & X METAL are mostly your "sporty" sunglasses. The WIRE's are a mixed bag of your "fashionable/non-sporty" look, to somewhat sporty.
The new womens line is slowly starting to grow and they do have a softer look and design for women who aren't looking for that total sporty look. They only released a few styles in the new womens sunglasses because they're still "experimenting" with the market. But so far it looks promising.

But every company has their signature look and style. Thats what makes them unique. Its like going up to Rob Zombie and saying ...hey can you start doing country and gospal music for once, Im tired of listening to the same heavy metal music you've been playing for years. We need variety....

It just doesnt work that way.
