Motorola RAZR's suck?!

Well I just recently lost my cell phone and decided to buy a Motorola V3 RAZR. I like the phone's size, look and mp3 playback but I have a HUGE gripe about it and thats the call volume.

Im on the Rogers network and when I try and talk to people on the phone they seem EXTREMELY quiet and the sound quality is terrible. It sounds almost as if the caller is about 2 ft away from the phone. I was on the skytrain yesterday and I couldnt even hear my lady friend when she called me.

Just wondering if all RAZR's are this bad or if I just got a lemon.

My girlfriend says I sound extremely quiet but i have a moto v635.....i think motos are far as PHONES are crap, but their features are nice....I had heard bad things about the v3 razrs so i just didn't get it. Is it everyone andrew or just certain people? It might be their phones (like it apparently is with mine).

buyers remourse andrew. a batch of rzrs got sent out at the begginning of the year that were all bad......defective kinda.....just take it to a sotre proving you got it under 30 days ago and theyll straight exchange it for the same device or something else if you dont want another one......

well at first i thought it was just the person who was calling me.

but it doesnt matter, its EVERYONE on landlines or cell phones makes no difference.

i dont mind if its a tad quieter then my old phone i can deal with that, but when its so low that when I put the call volume on 3 and its completely MUTE thats just bad design.

i've come to notice that motorola spends FAR too much time on the looks rather then the use and functionality aspect of their products.

I didnt buy it from a store thats my problem.

Looks like i'll be selling this one and purchasing a different make of cell phone.

Anyone suggest me a decent phone that compares to the RAZR but I can actually use and not have to say HUH, WHAT, SAY THAT AGAIN 15 times in a single conversation.

Exactly what I hate about Motorola. Yes they have wicked features and neato stuff like that but when it comes to just being a cell phone they suck.

Menus are laggy, battery life sucks and the volume and clarity of the calls are garbage.

Ive got a razor and it has done me pretty good, I ordered mine in from the states way back when it wasn't even released out here yet. So it's t-mobile and I cant even get on the internet to dl ringers and stuff, thats the only problem I have had with mine. The battery does suck too, My old brick nokia phone would last days without having to charge it. You probley just had a bad phone, I love it.. pretty sturdy and sexy phone

like a said. a batch between january and march were defective.....a whole shit load of them. i think i did like 500 warrenty exchanges on these damn rzrs.....chances are yours is broken andrew

it's big and bulky (get to play with one at work) but it's got a 3.2 megapixel camera and records video at 30 fps... basically you get a camcorder in your phone.
