If you found a cellphone, would you return it?

Having lost a cellphone and had someone actually call "Home" then return it, I definitely would.

This girl chose not to.. and this is what happens...

Pretty damn interesting actually.

That is fucked right up how the phone uploads all the last information to her new phone...Wicked feature...Sucks to be the fuckin idiots that stole it!

Edit: I would return a cellphone if I found it...I know what it is like to lose a cell phone :(

Totally return it. I lost my Cell in a Cab in Vancouver and a Cell out here in Mississauga. Called both and they were both turned off and stolen forever.

The one in Vancouver, actually took the number of one of my Friends and started calling and bugging her to meet up with very horrible English. Never saving my Numbers to the Phone and not the SIM again.

I found a cellphone on cambie bridge like 5 years ago... kept it on untill the owner called me, and then i took it to his house to return it... he turned out to be a manager at urban fare grocery store in yaletown, and ended up giving me a job there... that was pretty cool...

btw he offered me $20 reward, but i didn't take it... no i'm not that honest and nice, my girlfriend at the time made sure i don't take the reward... lol otherwise i would've without thinking twice...

Girls can really make us guys be better people...

For some people, their cell phone contains their entire LIFE! So i'd def return it.

I know I'd appreciate the same.

Definately. I always return things.

Last week I was shopping in the states and found two seperate shopping bags..at two seperate stores that someone had left behind..and returned them both to the employees. And a couple months ago I found a diamond ring in the parking lot at my work and posted "FOUND" flyers. No one has claimed it yet..but I still wouldnt feel right keeping it. Karma is kind when you are honest.

HOWEVER, finding money is totally different! I found $60 at a debit machine once..and over $200 randomly at bars. Finders keeper!

I just wish whoever found my mp3 player would have returned it to an employee =(

lost mine at a plaza rave once... but fortunately a worker found it and told me where she lived when i called so i could go pick it up.

so yes, i would return a lost cell phone.

and people, if u find a lost wallet, just dump it in a mailbox. easy and convenient way of returning something.

I lost my cell phone earlier this week at a pho restaurant in guildford, luckily the staff noticed it and kept it safe until I returned to pick it up. I would most def try to find the owner of a lost cell, no doubt about it.

edit: now I remember where this girl was from

uhh if you report your cellphone as lost/stolen to your provider it can't be used and can't be activated again, so really having one wouldn't benefit you all that much unless the person who owns it assumes their provider knows its lost :P

I found one and I returned it. I was even proactive and phoned one of the numbers on there to get in touch with the owner. She didn't even realized she'd dropped it out of her car.

It's suprising to me how many people don't bother reporting their handset stolen...

But I think that only works with CDMA phones, I'm pretty sure with GSM phones (eg. Rogers/Fido) you can take out the SIM card and put a new one in and use it...

And as for the topic...I would definitely return a phone, or anything I found...except money. Cash is fair game. Not that you could really track the owner of it anyways.

once i lost my phone at tribeca and someone called the last number i'd dialed to find out who the phone belonged to, got the djs to stop the music and announced to the entire party that they were looking for me to give me my phone :)

I would def return a phone if I found one. Those ppl are hella stupid, but it makes for an entertaining blog!

I've found and returned a few cells/pagers over the years. It's easy to do and really makes people's days so it's kind of a no brainer to do. This Evan was here guy is hilarious though, just shaming those fuck heads.

Just about every phone these days has a sim, so what you said isn't true at all. Well, unless you have a shitty provider.

but yeah, pffffffft I bet half the people posting are full of it haha they'd probably rack up a huge long distance bill, throw it or swap in their sim if it was nicer than current phone. Or they'd have friends around them that would dictate the outcome lmao.

So what you're really saying is that you wouldn't be honest and return it?
