The best line ever in hockey?

Just watching an older mid 80's Edmonton / Boston playoff game. And bloody hell, that mid 80's Oilers team was an absolute powerhouse. SO I ask you, whats the best line ever in hockey..?

It's gotta be the mid 80's Edmonton lines.. Hell, they had Gretzky, Kurri, Messier, Anderson, Coffee, Lowe, Huddy, Fuhr, Coffee, Mcsorley, Ranford, Moog among others.. (from 86-88 I mean)

Absolutely insane.

^ the 1983 oilers were ranked by NHL.com the best team ever of the nHL. Those Oilers were too far ahead of the other teams and should have won 5 cups in a row if not for smiths infamous goal.

Even more than the Canadians of the 50s and 70s

I think the 91/92 cup winning pens had solid lines as well. with the players they had *frances, kevin stevens, Mario, Jagr* etc

the reason edmonton threw in 'bums' like semenko was because back then enforcers actually enforced and you didn't have the league suspending people every week.

the pure awesomeness of gretzky in his prime is the line. put ANY decent forward with a decent shot and he's getting 40 goals with Prime gretzky. bernie nichols is proof. 30-40 goal man to 70 goal man in 1 year. uhhh yea i think gretzky helped.

but in recent memory (my lifetime) i'd have to nominate the early 90's pens. they had their first line start in the all star game. that should say something.

I agree with the pens when they won the cups.

Man they had Lemieux, Jagr, Kevin Stevens a really prime Ron Francis. A pretty good Bryan Trottier. Not to mention Barasso was holding his own pretty good eh.

but overall the oilers of the 80's. Gretzky and Kurri. Along with Paul Coffee and Kevin Lowe on the points.

Les Canadiens had some great lines too though

The way he scored some of his slapshots too. It just looks like the goalie would be able to stop but he always had his split second timing where he would like freeze the goalie than shoot it rite by him.

Also his stop and turn skating was awesome to watch when he was coming in on the rush.
